Note: Freestyle is great when you have the time to be on the computer at just the right moment. If not it's a good way to get beaten by players who do have that kind of time.

Thanks prismsaber,kratos,ron,Blitz etc..There are a ton of great players on CC.Some that haven't been mentioned imo:jiminski,AndrewB,keyborn,Greycloak etc.I held a 3400-3600 average for almost a year and decided it was time to try and get all the medals.It has cost me 1700 points in 3 weeks but I stopped caring about points and I am just trying to have fun now.Seul,Chariot of Fire,prismsaber and firstholliday I hold a lot of respect for also.All of THOTA,the list goes on.If I had to name 1 it would be Blitz.I learned more from him than any other.

King Herpes is the best player on cc since he is #1 for this moment.

But if i must mention 1 it must be osujacket.. He is the most skilled and frendly player i have met here...

And i have had the pleasure to play whit many excellent players like Scott, seul, first, jonsvoll, chrissy ,laddida, ruben, BW, blitz, hatch and johnny.. ( sorry if i miss some)

i would say that of all the people i have played over all the boards that we use, and have used in the past, my hardest overall opponent, using all the available settings and configurations would be blitz, sorry chrissie, but you are for another of the hard categories, most players specialize on a few boards and certain settings, but i play most boards myself, and blitz , hands down, is the hardest to beat.......not to mention the mental challenge when i see him on the other side......other side....haha...get it...haha.....

ok, on another note: how about some players that may have been on the site 1 year or less, are maybe longer but not commonly known, like up and coming players that may fit in this discussion a year later? any guesses who are a few that may rise up?



there is 2 players I see playing a ton, and playing anything and everything with no fear, a pair of players who may make big noise in the short future could be highlanderattack and freakns.

well, thx mate but i dont think im that good... im not bad, i learn fast, but i dont play freestyle, im confused on some maps, and so on and so on... and im too damn anxious which isnt that good

anyhow, since my name has been mentioned here, i have to give some names... out of one i had pleasure playing with/against:
1. tmclay99- i learned how to play esc fog from him. since i never ever played esc or fog settings in risk, he is a guy responsible for me changing my style of playing...
2. jiminski- played only one game against him, but that game stuck in my memory. he is not only good, he is insanely good in tactics. things i saw from him in only one game... awesome.
3. dcc1220- i got my ass kicked in 1 vs 1 just couple of days ago. me winning only 1 out of 5 games, that doesnt happen very often... he earned great respect from me
4. Nephilim- not sure why, but the moves he is making always caught me off guard. im rather good at predicting what some moves will be, but him i can not read... now im not sure who is behind all the moves and tactics THOTA teams are making, but somehow Neph is the one impressed me the most
5. of course, both pancakes. Lx owned my ass in almost every game we played against each other, and Blitz is by far most versatile player i saw around here. not only that i learned how to play team games from him mostly, but the guy is playing every map/settings you may find and all of them on extremely high lvl. so you may find someone excel in one or two types of games, but is there anyone so good in so many different settings?! i dont think so, at least i didnt have a pleasure playing against him/her.

so in short, with great respect for a lot of great players, i think MVP of this site would be Blitz

and for those mentioned how good are they, its just that they dont play against low lvls i can only say

ALL in THOTA I can't help it, they are awesome players, and seul has many in thota listed, ok ok, let me re-word this, to recognize others outside of THOTA.

My TOP 10 Players not in THOTA and for sequential teams only!


1. Scott-land-----------heads above all others

2. Benjikat is Dead---retired, but I put him up there for his overall excellence on complex maps
3. Velvecarrots---super player-methodical
4. Sjnap----he medal hunting now, but in the day, he could compete with the very best and hold his own
5. Suelessliathan---it is about time he gets recognized, excellent vision and has great preparation
6. Wild Tiger----he is a great team player, communicator, visionary, takes his time, patient and relentless
7. King Herpes--yeah yeah, he takes a lot of abuse, but he can play, trust me, KH has game maxed to the hilts
8. Chariot of Fire--very competitive, wins at high levels, always in many finals in tourneys, he just excels
8. Greycloak--silent assassin and keeps delivering the death blows, virtually unnoticed by many
9. Prismsaber---another one---quiet but deadly-beware of him
10. Justcallmestupid---better than what most people think, very strong and smart player
10. Thebro----much improved and has become a force and deserves to be noticed


honorable mention:
scorba----retired, but in the early days way back, he was explosive, fierce, aggressive and dominant
jr------takes a lot of abuse, but again, back in the day, he was strong, won a majority, he helped set the bar high
jork---retired, he only played triples, but boy oh boy was he ever awesome at them, he rarely lost

You're right about the guys you have over there in Thota-- a lot of super players. Couldn't have a better guy leading it-- love your loyalty!

And thx for shot in the arm-- very generous of you Blitzy... considering the company you listed. A compliment like that is pretty flattering in itself but coming from God himself.....

This is one of those "How long is a piece of string?" questions, because we're not all playing the same game here (unlike chess, with its grandmasters and world champion). Freestyle is a fabulous game and those who are proficient at it really are masters of a quick-thinking format, yet it's always been the domain of those with fast connections and clickable maps ( I have neither, or I'd probably be right in the mix with them) and the scoreboard is topped by players who have used these tools - and the ignorance of their opponents - to their advantage.

So I can't pick a 'Top 10' or 'Best Player' due to the vagaries of settings available, but I can easily select 'Most Respected' players with whom I've had the privilege of facing over the years (but even then I have to categorize game type).

All games sequential:

singles - Benjikat Is Dead & Bald Adonis. Made it look like Painting by Numbers
doubs - Seulessliathan & Scott. The Bro & Velvecarrots. They are telepathic...and flawless
trips - Big Whiskey and whoever he teams with. Every encounter is a worthy final
quads - always THOTA - Blitz and his brigade provide the most challenging competition every time.

A lot of team play relies, I believe, on either someone calling the shots or a fabulous understanding that can only be gained after many many games' experience together. I like to think that JP Daryth's Chariot of Shat was perhaps the most formidable quad team to ever grace the site ([player]jpeter15[/player], [player]Daryth[/player], [player]Chariot of Fire[/player], [player]Shatners Bassoon[/player]) who went 115 from 140 against equal or higher-ranked oppo. Not too shabby, so I mention these guys coz my own crew deserves a pat on the back too.

Special mention must also go to:

prismsaber - always tough
HardAttack - great competitor and team mate. Couldn't wish for better
rabbiton - very good reader/analyst who chooses his games as carefully as his moves
chephren - great guy, modest with class & humour
JBoy - frighteningly good at multiplayer esc
Incandenza - death by gentlemanly conduct
Pascalleke - vastly underrated, but a great player whose deploys/forts are seldom wrong

Plenty of others to choose from (and apologies to those I've not listed, but you know who you are). The scoreboard is a pretty good indicator of true ability if you eliminate the farmers, because to stay up there one has to win two out of three games every time against quality opposition (and by quality I mean anyone who is hovering around major rank and basically knows what he or she is doing).

Toughest opponents / best teammates I've come across are (in no particular order):

Chariot of Fire (TOFU)
Shatners Bassoon (TOFU)
Clanlord Carl (LoW)
rabbiton (LoW)
BENJIKAT IS DEAD (LoW)
waseemalim (LoW)
Big Whiskey (THOTA)
Blitzaholic (THOTA)

Seulessliathan (TSM)
Scott-Land (TSM)
Hath (G1)

Not to say that LoW has the most best players, just happens I've played with / against more LoW players than any other clan. I could go on with a huge list, but these players have all stood out as being prime examples of what a successful player should be.

well i must say that best quads teammate its-Ga7-Bonus mop-Banana Hammocks.
Hell we even manage to defeat THOTA quads 3 time in euro wars tournament.Unfortunatly Banana Hammocks its ofduty,and realy dont know when will be back.

I can't think of any game here that I would call myself better at than him.

Benjikat was pretty good - even if the whole thing with his wife did get a bit messed up in the end... I wonder if he'll ever return?
