Whoa... Tampa Bay drops another 5 spot on Boston to force a Game 7,
while Vancouver waits in the wings to host the winner.

This Stanley Cup Finals will log plenty of air miles.

C'mon Tampa. If you can beat the Penguins in 7 (Penguins being the best team) then you can beat ANY team.

I grew up on the Jagr--Lemieux--Francis era. I still remember watching Coffey own the back end while my most favourite player OF ALL TIME Ronnie Francis went on to become the most underrated player in the league. Oh Francis, I still miss you :( :( :(

But then I started watching the Canucks and they stole my heart. The Campbell Conference is just so much more competitive. They don't have 6 crappy teams like Florida and the Leafs. They have the Oilers. Almost everyone else is very much a potential conference foe.

So for you, AoG... I only have a few things to say...

1. LET'S GO PENS!! (save that for next season)
2. Remember how the Flyers failed miserably last year? ..... HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
3. Have you seen the Devs? I think they went off the road somewhere...

Who do you think will be better team for Vancouver to play? How do you see them matching up?

Yea, Jagr/Lemieux was the reason I started liking the Pens in the first place (I was originally a Rangers fan but then switched right as they were winning the Cups...remember I was like 5 at the time so I didn't know what was best for me). It killed to see Jagr play for the Rangers after.

Haha and I love when the Flyers lose because a lot of my family is from/near Philly, so they're diehard Flyers fans. I pretty much just shit on them over Facebook (at least we have a Cup win in the last few years). And the Devs are pretty irrelevant lately.

I think Vancouver can take all comers. Tampa Bay may be scarier (in attitude) simply because nobody expected them to get this far, while Boston is right where they expected to be. Both these teams have been stellar in the playoffs --but after watching the Canucks beat the Sharks-- I do expect them to prevail regardless of who they face next.

The extra time to rest up before the finals is a factor too and Van will get a few guys back for the finals. I believe the Bruins are the tougher matchup, but there's no easy games left and
I'm already anxious for next Wednesday to get here.

Word. You can feel it. The bounces are going their way. The players that need to come up big are at unexpected moments. The hockey gods are willing it. But I would almost rather they play Tampa Bay. TB has less size and strength to throw at the 'Nucks. And they have less experience in playoff games than Boston, though they do have a Cup.

Boston though is a much shorter flight and at this stage fatigue can be a deciding factor very easily. And Boston doesn't have the speedy forwards that Tampa Bay has. One of the Canucks' biggest strengths is their ability to FLY down the ice and out-skate their opponents.

It's be nice if the boys would start getting physical again like they were with Chicago. Edler was a hero. :) But their finesse gets them the wins. Three hours til game time. We shall see...

This upcoming week is going to be amazing. NBA Finals and Stanley Cup finals, pretty much switching every other day. It'll be nonstop championship games.

Think I'm pulling for the Nucks

I'm expecting Vancouver to win it. It'll be nice for Canada to take home the Cup for the first time since 1993. I'm expecting a good series though. Don't count Boston out just yet. I think Vancouver has enough to over come, but Tim Thomas will definitely be an X-factor. Solve Thomas, win the Cup. I really think it's that simple.

How about winning a first cup ever in Vancouver. I think it's been about 40 years
or so since the Bruins managed to bring home the hardware.

Hoping they go with that name. And there is a possibility that the Manitoba Moose may move to my hometown of Thunder Bay!

Fixed the quote. Would be cool for you keiths! Also, I sure hope Winnipeg is able to keep the team this time around. Ownership is going to be key. Edmonton can't convince players to come play there; I want to see how the Winnipeg franchise does in that regard. Making the playoffs in the first few years would be huge.

ANYWAY - Finals start in 2 hours. My money is definitely on the Canucks.

My money is definitely on however good Tim Thomas plays will determine the winner. Since most of my bookies don't take that bet, I just went to the strip club and threw my money on Serbia's mom. ZING!!!!!!!!!111!!!!!1!!!!11!!1!!!

A late goal makes it 1-0 for Vancouver in both the game, and the series.

Pretty exciting for an almost scoreless game.

A late goal? Thought this game was headed for OT
but the Canucks score with 18.5 seconds left.

Luongo and Thomas were both amazing.
