This is your opinion but it doesn't mean that everybody has to agree with you. I do not want to argue about it but just take your lesson from it - if you don't wish ties then make sure that you set up your challenges according to that. It was decided to be a 30 game challenge and so it was.

He did not run off, he had very good reasons for leaving so suddenly. Nothing went into shambles, challenges ended and that was it. Hopefully we do meet again!

Yes you are right, the challenge itself was poorly constructed, there always needs to be a tiebreaker written in. That said (and I don't mean to sound arrogant), you guys tied us via several in-game flukes and you know it, and when push came to shove you flat out refuse a tiebreaker because you knew you wouldn't win. You were scared.

If you write in public forums then it is for everybody ;) And how do I put it now.... You haven't seen it but it doesn't mean that ties doesn't exist.

I didn't say it was poorly constructed, I just said that it was set up so a tie may occur. Sadly you sound arrogant and perhaps you are right - maybe we had lost it but maybe not. We'll never know because it wasn't played. I'm not sure what in-game flukes you mean but I'm sure next time you will beat us to ground because it's clear that you find yourself so much better than us. I don't understand why you guys take tie such a shame. Didn't know you thought so badly about G1 and consider us such a terrible clan 8-[

Did someone actually win the cold war?

As for number of games, don't pick and even amount then. I like having the possibility of a tie. Of the 69 challenges in my recent ladder experiment database, 59 are an even amount of games and only 10 are an odd amount. 6 out of 7 clans agree, ties are ok.

Korea 1950-1953. There were others too. Sometimes it just wasn't worth while to keep fighting. This is the only one that comes to mind though.

does this end in a tie 15-15? why not play 10 more games for 40 so it counts?

You've asked that question three times in the past 15ish posts, lol.

Back at the time there was no stupid "requirement" on game amounts. The original negotiations did not account for a tie and hardly anyone in G1 cared enough to settle it considering the ladder allows for ties. BaldAdonis proposed a best of five 1v1 Waterloo to settle the score but nothing eventually came of it because of his accident.

Can we move on, now?

Eh. Not my story to tell and I don't want to blurt out someone else's personal business. Sadly it caused us to lose one of our best players and most interesting people to chat with.
