krato, you are mad cause we got in a big fued and I had to put you in your place in many games to quiet you down, ty for the half compliment, but, you cannot deny you are angry with me. The fact is we played 36 times and I whipped you good in 26 of those 36 and I had cooks for my teammates in some games and have no clue who they are.
Then, months ago, you say you are much better now, then dw and I pw'd you in many games while you had excellent partners, anyways you slice it, I doubt many have better then a 26 win to 10 loss ratio against you, this means I beat you more than 2 in a half times to one, almost 3 to 1. get over your resentments!

the reason my score dropped is maybe because I got almost 90 medals and 35 tourney titles, # 1 in both areas, maybe you should think of that you little child.

I played them 6 times and won 4 all with different partners and one of my partners was a noob I didnt even know and we still won, but, yes, they are good.

Some who have first. These are some of the obvious names

Blitz - a lot of people think him the best
Scott - excels in many different setting and maps
Sjnap - awesome quads player, haven't played anything other than trips and quads with him though.
Poomaker - we've forgotten him already. He may have been the best 6 player std. seq. esc. ever, maybe.
herpes - awesome dubs and quads players, as well as great at std. 6 players games. He's good at a lot more than the 1v1's on city mogul that people know him for.
comic - I mostly play with comic when he was a captain, but he improved tremendously while I was away from the site, and is one of the best by many people's accounts.
maniacmath - another top std. player.

And the list goes on, but I will stop here. Now for some not so obvious names.

Incandeza - great std. player, great dubs player, been around for a long time.
Lindax - awesome at same settings, has many medals, many tourney wins.

There are probably plenty more players like these two, I just don't know them that well, because I haven't played them enough. But these are guys who never took the time to limit themselves to one game style, and use it to move up the ranks. Instead they play for fun, and so they level off at major, or colonel, or whatever rank is determined by two factors. 1. There skill, and 2. There choice of game settings.

Anyway, that's my 2 cents, and my list is by no means complete.

prism, khaz, george and many others make gr8 points, different players excel at different things. One gr8 way I like to look at it is, who are the players that excel at many game types, maps, and settings?, not just one.

take baseball for example.

would you like a player that bats .352 average with 9 homers, 40 rbi's, and 18 steals?
OR
would you like a player that bats .311 average with 45 homers, 118 rbi's and 22 steals?


many baseball players are great, but most are great in one or 2 areas, rarely do you find gems that excel at most or all things, now those that do, truly are respected and ahead of the class.

well scott-land, and sjnap are solid in singles and teams, king herpes is very good player too, regardless of the heat he gets form many, he is a solid player and has skills.

You totally let this fly right over your head Blitz. I just said I didn't think you were the best at standard seq team games. Did I say I was either? No and since according to you I'm just average and suck then your record against me should mean shit.

Big Whiskey and David_Wain are better than you in team games?
And when it comes to doubles DW is probably the best.
Seul, Chariot, and Velve are also all wonderful team players as well.

As for the arguments. You started them I ended em by putting you on foe. I hold no resentment about it. In fact it gives me a good laugh. I didn't insult you in my earlier post I just said I didn't believe you to be the "best" at those settings. Notice I said you are good as to not have things interpreted the wrong way yet again, but it looks as if you still did.

Yet you're again insulting me... and I'm the child here? Be mature Blitz, there's no reason to bash another player to get your point across when I was completely civil in my comments.

Now to clear the record. Had he put you up as one of the best for standard sequential games I'd probably agree. There isn't one very best but you're up in the top there. As for team games you're good and high up. Just not top tier. You fall short to BW, Seul, Chariot and the likes.

not sure about that, I guess you would need to ask them , they dam good, you forget maybe or just don't know, they both learned a lot from me, especially on some complex maps, but no doubt, dw and bw are excellent, all in thota are. we all teach and help each other.

thank you very much for the kind words in my singles play. I have not focused on this as much lately, although won some solid tourneys in 6 and 8 man games. For some reason, I dont give myself enough credit in this area, I thought I stacked up rather well, but scott-land, and comic boy really made me lose some confidence in this area, sure glad they didnt play in those tourney's, lol

seriously kratos i just dont get how you can hold that players x and y are better than player z on such a formulaic setting. mikie and the ragman are one of the best doubles teams on the site for sure but like blitz said, he has a winning record over them. you could (using your list) ask bw, seul and CoF what their records are against them and the chances are that some will be a few games up and some a few games down. that is just how it is, a vagary of luck at the pinnacle.

I must say though, I have teamed a lot more with khazy of late, and he has really impressed me more than I have realized with his vision and game play. great warrior you are khazy

and cheers for the stats killing. it proves my point exactly because imo if there were to be a single 'best team' id probably have picked mike and super. clearly it just doesnt exist though! in freestyle there are a core of great players separated by repetition of specific maps and superior connection speed (not attempting to decry it just saying that thats what tends to separate the top fs dogs). if you were going to look for an area of gameplay to formulate a 'best player' thesis on, it would surely be singles. mm17, comic, hatch, genghis (sadly left) poomaker, scott land etc etc. there are certainly a smaller number in that field who are a cut above. seq teams though i just dont see it myself.

honourable mention has to go to jork, however. i dont know how many will remmber him but jork would team with anyone and his win rate was outstanding considering. perhaps you could say with a little more confidence that he was the best trips player ever on cc?

It was just a personal opinion that those guys are on a different level than Blitz in team games. I didn't say he was eons behind or anything cause he's not far behind. He can easily hold his own against them I just think their vision of the board and strategy is a little more sound than Blitz's. I've seen him miss key moves before... I do it, too. It's something I've seen these players do very rarely if ever though. I do give Blitz credit for being very versatile though. It's not easy to find a map he has trouble with and the ones he does he works to get better at. The number of players with such a wide variety of map knowledge and skill aren't many but Blitz is one of em. Usually playing such a wide variety causes a drop in rank. Hence Blitz's rank drop(not that rank is the best indicator of a player's skill anyway, just a general idea). Seul though manages to keep a rank of General while playing all the weird maps. I realize he doesn't have the medals Blitz has got but still... David is becoming much more diverse on his map knowledge. BW is good with most maps. I'm not saying Blitz would get blown out by these guys.
Just feel they're a little better than him as explained before.
