[Winner: ZionT] Initech XX: G8
Two Initech team events just started but right now all active Initech single events are winding down. So it's time to unveil the next installment of the series...
I'd say this is the Initech to end all Initechs, but I'd be lying because I plan many more. But this one will certainly be the most intense yet. This Initech will take place on maps that represent the G8 countries and will utilize all three singles disciplines--standard, terminator and assassin. Like all Initechs, games will be flat/chained/foggy. This one is not for the casual player or for someone who expects a quick tournament, so please read all details before committing. With that, I give you... Initech XX: G8
OVERVIEW
2-round, 16-player, 120-game, 8-map tournament. All players guaranteed 24 games. Max games for an individual player is 48. All games will be 4-player matches.
ELIGIBLE PLAYERS
Premium only, sorry. You'll need way more than 4 games open at all times.
Also, because this will be a long event that needs a clearly committed players and because deadbeats would totally ruin it, the following two additional rules are in place: minimum 150 games completed and a 98% turns taken rate.
RULES
All games will be Sequential, Chained, Flat Rate, Foggy, Automatic Deploy
1/3 of games will be Standard
1/3 of games will be Terminator
1/3 of games will be Assassin
Note that I will not send automatic game invites because I don't have the time to send out 384 individual invites. Game info will be sent via PM with passwords and game numbers. Sorry for the inconvenience.
MAPS
Canada, USA, England, France, Germany, Italy, Soviet Union, Japan
POINT SYSTEM
Standard map wins are worth 15 points
Terminator map wins are worth 5 points
Terminator eliminations are worth 2 points each (including the final elimination)
Assassin map wins are worth 10 points
There will be a total of 288 points available in each 4-person group.
ROUNDS
The first round will consist of four 4-player groups. Each group plays each map 3 times (once on each discipline). The player with the most points advances to the finals.
The final round consists of the four group winners, who will repeat the settings for the first round. The player with the most points is tournament champion.
SEEDINGS
Once sixteen players have registered, I will divide players into 4 pots based on rank/points. Then one person from each pot will be placed into each first round group.
TIEBREAKERS
In the event of a tie for first place in the first round, tiebreakers will be as follows: 1) most standard map wins; 2) most assassin map wins; 3) most terminator map wins; 4) head-to-head match on Doodle Earth with tournament settings but no spoils.
In the event of a tie for first place in the final group, the first tiebreaker will be most points in the first round. Subsequent tiebreakers will be the same as the first round, but will apply to the final round games.

Doesn't violate the site rules to my knowledge. A gray area, but certainly not something I'd punish.
Standings are updated for any games completed in the first three groups.
Re: Initech XX: G8 [16/16]
I found out it is totally legal to announce anything you want in game chat even in fog of war games. I apologize, I should have researched it myself before I posted.
