[ACC Round 2] 1st Reg. v. AOD [25-24] of 51pts - Final
Greetings everyone!
Angels of Death and the 1st Regiment of Foot Guards are marching to combat!
Total games in the First Round:
5 Singles Bouts (each best-of-4) - each bout worth 1 point
6 Doubles Games - each also worth 1 point
10 Trips - each worth 2 points
10 Quads- each also worth 2 points
51 points available in total
Contacts therefore need to create 2 games for each singles bout - 8 games, plus 2 doubles games, 4 trips and 4 quads.
Contacts are: [player]General Brock II[/player] and [player]General Roy[/player] for the Regiment.
For AOD: [player]jpcloet[/player]
Rules of the War:
In each clan challenge thread. A list of players participating for each clan should be kept up along with a running tally of how many games each player has played in.
Player Usage:
Individual players can play a maximum of 30% of games (counting a 1v1 bout as 1 game). In round 1 this is 7 games. In rounds 2 & 3 this is 9 games, and in the semi-finals and final this is 10 games.
Tie-break games are not subject to player usage restrictions.
Individual players can only play in one 1 v 1 bout per round. Each map can only be used twice per clan per clan war but can only be used once per game type (e.g. once for singles and once for quads). 'Random' Map can be used and is subject to the same restrictions (once per game type, twice overall)
.......
If rules are contravened, then the Tournament Organisers may determine that the offending team cannot score any victories from games concerned. If it is concluded that the offending clan have deliberately contravened rules to gain an advantage then the games concernd will be ruled as automatic victories for their opponents.
Best-of-4 singles involve head-to-head bouts, i.e. the same two opponents play each other 4 times. As with other game types, each clan chooses 'home' map and settings for half or the games. In any bout, if players draw (2-2), then neither clan wins a point.
When wars begin, clan organisers will be provided with 48 hours during which to ensure their memebers join games.
A round limit of 30 rounds (for singles and doubles) and 25 rounds (for trips and quads) will be set - there will be no result if there is no winner within the limit. It is anticipated that this will only occur extremely rarely and is only introduced to prevent a stalemate-game from holding the tournament up.
A tie-breaker game will also take place (quadruples on World 2.1, no spoils, sunny, chained). The result from this game is only considered if scores are otherwise equal.
12 hour Fog of War courtesy rule applies.

I thought it was this:

Meaning, if someone plays 10 games then they aren't able to count then tenth game as a win. if they win the game, no points are awarded. Although, if it is concluded that they deliberately played too many games then the enh game is auomatically scored as a win for the opposion, whatever the actual game outcome.
(The alternative of choosing games and re-starting would simply be too time-consuming).

I also thought the home team was supposed to make the thread. Apparently some people are gung ho to get round 2 going.

GG (1st Regiment of Foot Guards: Grenadier Guards) vs. AOD (Angels of Death)
I intended this to mean that GG are the home team.

Sorry. In America the 2nd team listed is generally the home team. My bad.
(GG vs AoD = GG at AoD)

You've obviously never spotted Rambo's tattoo
Here you can see him making short work of a AOD member.

Re: [ACC Round 2] 1st Reg. v. AOD [1-0] of 51pts
There seems to be some confusion...
1) 1RFG is "The 1st Regiment of Foot Guards (Grenadier Guards) is modeled on an official Regiment in the Army of the United Kingdom. Organization is based loosely upon that Regiment. We are looking at actively competing in clan wars, and will assuredly not retreat from a chivalrous challenge. We’re looking for any willing participant who appreciates military organization and style, and would thoroughly enjoy fighting as a unit in a manner that depicts famous battles, conflicts, invasions and maneuvers. We hope that all will fight aggressively with élan and determination. This is an open group, members can apply to join."
2) Rambo is American Special Forces, which makes it impossible for him to have any comparison to your knock-off of the British Regiment notion.
Sorry to disappoint you again...

Re: [ACC Round 2] 1st Reg. v. AOD [1-0] of 51pts
Ah yes but John Rambo is now a vigilante so sorry you got it wrong again. Just like our own vigilante Pirlo, who you could consider a true mercenary.
In Thailand, John Rambo joins a group of mercenaries to venture into war-torn Burma, and rescue a group of Christian aid workers who were kidnapped by the ruthless local infantry unit.
So Rambo is now one of us and fighting for 1RFG

We are the Fallen, an unstoppable wave of Darkness.

A vigilante? He continues to work with/for the US Gov't on most of his missions, he just wanders off the projected path a bit, but he never gives up his American pride...Nice try though

Ahhh, but that's just his ploy, you know. Rambo was contacted by MI5, who employed him on a secret mission to annihilate Angels of Death... Or, sorry, to deliver victims to the Angels of Death so that they would be too preoccupied to fight.

Apparently nobody in your clan knows what the 12 hour rule is. Maybe you should inform them.

"Nobody," is a little strong. But thanks for your patience while everybody familiarizes themselves with it.
