Pilot Episode, Part 1:

When Phatscotty was only a boy, his parents were brutally murdered in front of his eyes in an apparent hit-and-run accident, and he swore revenge on the perpetrator (who was never found). He was raised by his aunt and uncle, a sweet couple who mostly left the boy to himself. As a teenager, he developed an obsession with Batman comics and Ayn Rand.

Now, just out of high school, he's approached by a mysterious stranger, an old man who calls himself Raza. Raza promises to help Phatscotty avenge his parents by training him in the ways of the Ninja, but can Scotty trust him?
