Grimm’s Fairy Tales Mafia Rules
1. This game is moderated by me (Talapus), whatever I say goes. If I make a mistake I’ll do my best to fix it, but feel free to PM me and let me know. Please don’t play the mod, it won’t work out well for you!
2. Do not quote any PMs you receive from Me. I assure you they are all slightly different, so even having people discuss your win condition, how many words are in your role PM, or any other kind of way to get around not quoting PM’s is REALLY a bad idea in this game.
3. If you forget your role, or you delete it, that is your own fault. I suggest not doing either. Also, I strongly suggest you keep track of your movements on the map. I’ll try my best, but I’m human. If you think there was a mistake, PM and let me know. I’ll fix it.
4. All ‘votes’ and ‘unvotes’ must be in blue. If they are not, they will not be tallied. (I.E. Vote: Skoffin) If you vote two or more times consecutively without an unvote in between them, then the first vote will be the one that gets tallied.
5. Lynching requires a majority of the town vote.
6. Once your death scene has been posted, you are dead. You can no longer post anything revealing or of substance. Whining is alright, **Voices from beyond the grave** are alright, as long as nothing of substance is revealed. Feel free to tell everything once game has concluded. Also, if you want to replace once dead let me know, I’ll see if I can make it happen
7. The game will not be discussed outside this thread, unless your role specifically says you may do so(You’ll know if it’s ok).
8. Do not edit/delete previous posts. Whatever you say goes into historical record.
9. Day scenes I write will be informational and somewhat helpful(To the right people). Also, because of the nature of this game, there may be certain things posted throughout the day in the thread. I’ll leave links to all that on the first page.
10. Joking in the thread is fine, but don’t let it get carried away and take over as spam.
11. Be attentive and active in the game. If I see you are not posting at all, I will prod all those who are inactive. If there is no timely response, you will be replaced. This is important in such a large game like this because of all the roles. Also, I’ve played with all of you in one game or another and it’s worked out pretty well, so I hope there won’t be problems with inactivity here.
12. There is no deadline for the days unless things slow down. If that happens, I may impose one.
13. Each game ‘night’ will not last more than three 24 hour days(UNLESS YOU SLACK OFF AND WAIT UNTIL THE LAST SECOND TO SEND IN NIGHT ACTIONS). If I get all night choices fairly quickly, then night will end early. However, if at the end of the third 24 hour day I have not received your night choice, you will have lost your choice action (I.E. for mafia, there would be a ‘no kill’, etc).
14. If you have any questions about whether you should or shouldn’t do something, or just need some clarification, feel free to PM me.
15. I would prefer not to have to find replacements, but stuff happens, I realize that. If you could PM me and let me know that you can no longer participate instead of just leaving, that would be great. It’s more enjoyable for the rest of us when everyone plays, so I’ll try to find someone to fill your place.
16. Because of the nature of this game, there may be a point or two in the game where lots of people send in actions all aimed at the same player. If this happens, I will count the night actions and use them in the order they were received. So, same thing I did in Batman. Won’t happen often, but if it does, that’s how I’ll count them.
Ok, now that all those are out of the way, it’s time to explain a few things. First off, BE VERY CAREFUL WITH ALL YOUR NIGHT/DAY ACTIONS!!! I did not take numerous characters out of 2 or 3 stories for this game. I took them out of several. Therefore, while a few of you may know who else is on your side, NO ONE knows everyone else in their faction. Just because someone acts funny or scummy does not mean you should be hasty and do away with them or aide them. A wrong kill here or there or ability given to the wrong person could SERIOUSLY tip the odds of winning to someone else. Also, many of you will progress through your own fairy tale while this game takes place. Therefore your roles may “evolve” or cross paths with others in the game. So be mindful of all choices you make.
Typically in mafia you have three ways to vote. They are: Vote(Fircoal), Unvote(Fircoal), Vote(No Lynch). But in Ever After you get a 4th option. Hidden deep in the woods surrounding your kingdom is a wishing well. So, if you vote(Wishing Well), I’ll ask those players to PM me with who they want gone. Once I have a majority of votes for the wishing well(Regardless of who the votes are for) the day will end and Random.Org will inform some unlucky bastard that they are no more. Your choice people, choose wisely!
Finally, you all received a map with your pm’s. You may move wherever you want to on the map when you have to move. You could go from the far left corner all the way to the other side of the map when you move, your choice. Be extremely careful though with what you say you find or don’t find. Because although it may mean nothing to you, I assure you it matters to someone in the game.
