Miss Who? Champion of what? Did I miss something?
Ah, of course, the Olympics. I boycotted them, which was pretty easy to do because I wasn't very interested in them in the first place.
Anyway, got any details for the uneducated part of the forum population?

Yes, Paradice indicated that.

Maybe, maybe not.

Well first off in order to qualify you have to look under 16.
Secondly, you just have to swing around on bars and shit, do a few somersaults and if you impress the judges enough with "fancy footwork" you can get a medal.

Andy could totally do that.

However, compared to say, fencing, it seems like a fairly legit sport. Somehow.
I'm sorry, but taking swords, reducing them to short metal whips and then saying you have to stay on a thin rectangle of space, and that only touches above the waist (or whatever the rule is) count, and then having the contestants reset as soon as one of the aforementioned short metal whips glances off an arm is just total bullshit. Let's see some armor made with a modern technology (to reduce injuries of course) and then just setting the contestants to duke it out with real swords boxing or MMA style. Now that would be a sport.

I think that some of this could work.

For body armour I would like to get this.

I have two shinai, it stings and will leave a bruise if you get hit hard, but you don't need the body armour. I have a hard time getting anyone to use them with me.
