Picture this. You're doing well in a game and then a couple of players decided to team up on you.
What's the best strategy for counteracting this mugging?

Re: Xv1 Strategy?
Saw the game...
Well, if they are smart, they would have ended the alliance, seeing as you are no longer a threat.
The best you can do is keep yourself small and purposefully reduce your bonus via weak defenses. But since the truce is until you die, see if you can convince one of them that you are hardly a threat, and call a truce with that person.

If there are only 3 players left there is not much to do in my opinion but, as the Neon Peon said, try to keep quiet. If there are more players on the game you can still try to "run and hide" somewhere hopping you can become stronger
( works better if Fog is ON ).

talking your way out of it should work best, unless you are stronger than all of them put together

I agree... If you are stronger that both of them... just concentrate and try to eliminate one.

If you're as strong or stronger than all other players taken together, concentrate on breaking as many bonuses as you can while keeping yours. Elimination comes second, you need to treat the opponents as one player if it's an endgame you're trying to win. (only applies to flat rate/no cards)
If they're teaming up in order to eliminate you, try to find an ally or two yourself and convince them that those douchebags need to be punished.
If it's only them and you and they're taking you out, give them the bad ratings and post it in GD.

well the big problem is that they now have more forts than you do.
what i would do is concentrate on taking territories, lowers how many forts they get per turn, so if one guy has 17 places and one has 9, hit the 17 to take away forts.
then concentrate on bonuses if there are any.
then eliminate
then gloat
then collect points
then say "gg all!"

Normally a quip does it. I usually say something like "Better watch your back green, blue is laughing at how you're wasting your armies on me". One I particularly like saying is "one-itissssssssssssSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS".
Aside from this, the foe list. A doubles team of Dutch players just recently made my list. They both suicided into me for about 30 rounds of a 40 rounds game and handed it to another team. They never had a chance going down the path they did - they were always going to end up on my ignore list
