Dont let it cloud your vision.
My main advice is to keep a close eye on the game log. It gives some clues as to what you oppoants are doing eg how many reinforcements they are getting. You can often figure out where they are by deduction.

If you are lazy you could also get a program called BOB which gets a lot of information for you just by installing a script.

Lol. I wrote a strategy guide on this. It will be released once they make some changes to the Strategy forum. Don't know when that will be...
