2009-01-08 23:41:33 - tyler197802198: oops - I accidently messed up my deployment
2009-01-10 00:28:16 - tyler197802198: finally - a game you didn't get a mixed set in
2009-01-10 00:32:47 - DimnjacarStef: here it comes :)
2009-01-10 10:56:46 - DimnjacarStef: u wrote in one of our games ''fighting you is an excercise in futility - what are you doing that is different than most good players?''
2009-01-10 10:56:55 - DimnjacarStef: what did u ment by that
2009-01-10 20:12:06 - tyler197802198: I mean that I play a (usually) intelligent game that works against most people, including high-ranked players. However, our other two games felt like I was playing tug-of-war with a car, because no matter how well I played you just kept pushing me back.
2009-01-10 20:12:43 - tyler197802198: I realize that you were doing the no-adjacent-place-for-free, but that wasn't enough to account for my lack of success.
2009-01-10 20:13:03 - tyler197802198: I mean, you usually didn't even go for a bonus
2009-01-10 20:13:22 - tyler197802198: it was quite frustrating
2009-01-10 20:14:21 - tyler197802198: so I was wondering if it was just good/bad dice, or if there was some strategy you are using that I didn't see
2009-01-10 20:14:30 - tyler197802198: and if so, if you could teach me
2009-01-10 23:30:29 - DimnjacarStef: look, my strategy in games like this (1vs1) is to attack my opponent, not neutrals cuz u can lost lot of soldiers doing that
2009-01-10 23:32:06 - DimnjacarStef: so, I don't play on bonuses cuz there is always some neutral army, and if I destory neutral, there's no guarantie that I'll get the bonus in next turn
2009-01-10 23:32:58 - DimnjacarStef: in example, u have 12 territories, I would rather attack u then neutral which will bring me a bonus
2009-01-10 23:34:04 - DimnjacarStef: the reason is simple, in next turn u'll get 3 troops and not 4
2009-01-10 23:34:50 - DimnjacarStef: and i can kill 3 of yours, which is better for me then a bonus which brings only 2
2009-01-10 23:35:39 - DimnjacarStef: maybe u have similar tactic or u no for that but I just wrote if u r interested
2009-01-10 23:59:57 - tyler197802198: I thought I was doing that
2009-01-11 00:00:02 - tyler197802198: obviously you can do it better
2009-01-11 00:08:01 - DimnjacarStef: gg
2009-01-11 00:08:33 - tyler197802198: gg
2009-01-11 00:09:58 - tyler197802198: haha - that is awesome: you won two games and I won 1 but we ended up even for points
2009-01-11 00:10:02 - tyler197802198: I love having a low rank . . .
